lee thomas is the recipient of several international awards for his wedding videography. In August 2004, the Wedding and Event Videographers Association (WEVA International) recognized Lee as one of the industry's best by awarding him the coveted Best of Category GOLD award for pre-ceremony coverage at it's annual CREATIVE EXCELLENCE AWARDS competition in Las Vegas, NV. Lee is honored to be the only videographer in Michigan to be presented this prestigious award.
In January 2006, he was presented with 4 ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS at the 4Ever Group wedding videography Expo at Disney World in Orlando, FL. He received awards for pre-ceremony coverage, post-ceremony coverage, reception coverage, and best overall wedding production.
In August 2006, Lee was once again recognized by the Wedding and Event Videographers Association when they presented him his 2nd Best of Catagory GOLD award at it's annual CREATIVE EXCELLENCE AWARDS competition in Las Vegas, NV. Lee was also honored to be a part of WEVA's "Battle of the Editing Styles" competition during WEVA Expo 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. The premise? 4 editors get the exact same wedding day footage and the challenge is to create something unique to their own style. It was truly an international affair as 4 editors from around the world (US, England, Australia, and Mexico) battled for bragging rights as the "Battle of the Editing Styles" champion. Lee was proud and excited to be asked by WEVA to supply the wedding day footage that was used in the competition. This footage is available for viewing online at weddingchannel.com.
In 2006, Lee was honored to be asked yet again to participate in another "Battle of the Editors" competition. This time, the members of the Greater Philadelphia Videographers Association (GPVA) called on Lee to supply the footage used in their annual regional editing competition.
